DISCOVER MOTOROLA
Motorola is a US multinational company founded in 1928 by Paul and Joseph Galvin, but which was spun off in 2011. One part of the company, Motorola Solutions, now develops and sells security technologies, while Motorola Mobility operates in the telephony sector , selling smartphones and smartwatches.
In the same year, 2011, Google bought Motorola Mobility for US$12,5 billion. Subsequently, in 2014, Lenovo acquired the company for US$2,91 billion, but Google still retained a 6% stake. In its online store, the brand sells smartphones such as the Motorola Edge 40 5G and the Moto G84 5G, for example.
With the mobile device segment becoming increasingly competitive, Motorola Mobility's management decided it was time to increase its presence on digital channels. The idea, in this way, was to increase brand awareness and sales on a global level. To achieve this objective, the company opted for VTEX technologies.
THE MOTOROLA PROJECT WITH VTEX TECHNOLOGIES
Motorola's project with VTEX technologies consisted of unifying orders from its B2B and D2C e-commerces into a single channel; and the expansion of online sales to 37 countries. Furthermore, the company's management wanted to improve customer service, among other aspects.
