Hello, hello, friends and readers! Here I am again, now with the eighth post in the monthly series about e-Plus Agency case studies . In this post I will show you the online store of Wahl, a brand affiliated with the century-old American multinational Wahl Clipper Corporation that sells hygiene products for people and animals.

This company, founded by the Wahl family in 1919 in the city of Sterling, Illinois, currently has 7 factories in Germany, Brazil, China, Hungary, England and Vietnam, in addition to its headquarters in the USA. In addition, the brand is present in more than 150 countries and has more than 3.300 employees around the world.

For over 100 years, therefore, Wahl has been manufacturing and selling hair clippers, beard and mustache clippers and other hairdressing products. In addition, it sells machines for veterinary use. It is worth remembering, finally, Wahl is the first company to supply personal care products to NASA, being the first to put a hair clipper in space.

Wahl chose e-Plus Agency to create its online stores in Brazil , Argentina , Colombia , and Costa Rica , all using the VTEX platform. These stores feature three departments; see below:

  • Professional: cutting and finishing machines, blades, combs and combos;
  • Domestic: cutting machines, trimmers and kits;
  • pet line: clippers, finishing machines, blades and professional and domestic accessories.

WAHL E-COMMERCE: DESIGN AND USABILITY AT ALL

As soon as Wahl contacted them, the e-Plus Agency team began producing the company's e-commerce site, focusing on creating an attractive design that also offered good usability for consumers.

In all projects, the concepts of alignment, balance, contrast, proximity, repetition, proportion, and color application from Design Theory were applied . As a result, the e-commerce site emerged with a visual appeal that attracts more views and clicks.

In addition, buttons, menus, links and the main features of the store were positioned to help consumers find and buy what they need more quickly and easily.

Wahl stores are also well signposted. This avoids the undesirable " illusion of completeness ," a situation where online visitors are unaware of additional content beyond what they are viewing. The signage prevents interruptions in the flow, and thus, with continuous viewing, consumers don't miss important information.

Furthermore, the stores function well on both large-screen and small-screen devices. They passed the Google Mobile Friendly tool's compatibility test. And finally, with their most important buttons and links within easy reach of the thumb on mobile devices, they comply with the " Thumb Zone " rules.

VIRTUAL STORE RESOURCES

Created using the VTEX platform by the e-Plus Agency, Wahl's online stores in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Costa Rica feature technologies such as Smartcheckout, which enables one-click purchases without the need for passwords.

These stores also have a One Click Buy feature, which securely stores customer card data and thus facilitates future purchases. This, in turn, increases your conversion rate.

That is to say, the VTEX platform provides an elastic and scalable structure, standard Amazon AWS, which allows Wahl to grow with quality and speed. Not to mention that it can maintain a great performance at big e-commerce events like Black Friday.

Wahl's e-commerce platform features a My Account panel and virtual shopping cart. It includes an institutional section, a help and support area, various payment methods, social media integration, and security seals.

Its home page, category pages and sales pages have high definition images and a zoom feature. The products have descriptive data and videos, among other factors that facilitate sales.

Therefore, in addition to being beautiful, Wahl's virtual stores are fully usable. This, in turn, allows the multinational to stand out in the field, being essential for growth plans in Latin America.

As soon as you can, click on " E-commerce website building " and learn more about the e-Plus agency, which has already created more than 300 online stores for national and international clients.
