The national e-commerce market reached 600 thousand virtual stores, reveals the survey “Brazilian E-commerce Profile 2017” commissioned to BigData Corp by PayPal Brasil. More than half of them receive just over 300 daily visits.
Check out some numbers from the study:
• 76,7% of e-commerce sites receive up to 10 thousand visits per month (small)
• 8,5% receive between 10 and 500 visits per month (average)
• 14,77% receive more than 500 thousand visits per month (large)
Given that the average conversion rate in the Brazilian e-commerce market is 1,65% , an online store that receives 10 visits will be able to make approximately 165 sales per month. This number, however, could be much higher if its managers know how to invest appropriately in resources such as:
• Omni-channel e-commerce platform with mobile capabilities
• Sponsored links for e-commerce
• Email Marketing for e-commerce
• Marketing Management for e-commerce
E-Mail Marketing, for example, can generate substantial loyalty, that is, it can retain consumers, which is extremely important since it is much cheaper to maintain than to acquire a new customer.
Furthermore, it's better to have subscribers than just visitors. Read the article " How to get your first 10 email marketing subscribers for your online store? " and see if I'm not right.
One step at a time, start designing your e-commerce site so that it ranks among those with 10 to 500 monthly visits, and then advance a little further to rank among the greats!
