The Italian consulting firm Translated, which publishes the " T-Index: the rankings for online markets ," presenting the evolution and hierarchy of e-commerce worldwide, projects the Brazilian e-commerce market in 3rd position in 2018.
According to the company, the online market in Brazil reached the Top 10 in 2007 and currently occupies the 7th position with a 3,2% share behind Russia (3,4%), India (3,5%), Germany ( 4,1%), Japan (5,2%), China (15,3%) and the USA (19,4%).
In 2018, however, according to the aforementioned ranking, Brazil will rise four positions and, thus, will occupy the 3rd place behind only the USA and China. Watch:
1. China (21,8%)
2. USA (13,2%)
3. Brazil (4,1%)
4. Russia (3,9%)
5. Japan (3,8%)
6. India (3,8%)
7. Germany (3,5%)
As a major e-commerce power, Brazil continues its climb and may even surpass, who knows, the US in a few years and reach second place.
Furthermore, a curiosity aside from this ranking is that the top six countries capture more than 50% of the e-commerce market on the planet and, therefore, are fertile grounds for investment.
Therefore, as we can see, there has never been a more favorable time in this country's history for e-commerce entrepreneurs and the creation of online stores.
