What is opt-in in Email Marketing for e-commerce?
Email Marketing for eCommerce

Opt-in is the English term that names the act – performed by a consumer – of choosing to join an email marketing list through which they will receive information and advertisements from a company (which could be your online store) indefinitely.

In email marketing for e-commerce , there are basically three ways to opt-in :

• opt in simple:
The consumer goes to your online store and sees an email capture form or discovers a squeeze page of your e-commerce on the web. Next, he enters his data and his e-mail, which authorizes you, the virtual store administrator, to start sending him your E-mail Marketing content.

• opt in double:
In this mode, the consumer enters an email in the capture form or in a squeeze page and then he opens his own email box and sees a message that his Email Marketing software will send to him automatically. He clicks on the link available in the message to confirm the subscription, which authorizes the sending of advertisements.

• opt in soft:
This is a face-to-face way to increase your email base. You or your collaborators go to fairs, workshops, congresses and other business events and take people's e-mails one by one and add them to your list (if they authorize).

Avoid buying pre-made lists and/or adding emails to your database without authorization. Always use the opt-in resources described in this article to grow your list, as this way you will obtain qualified emails and avoid damaging the image of your e-commerce company.
