Hello, hello, my friends from the e-Plus Agency blog, how are you all doing? I bring you another exciting piece of news from the world of e-commerce. Multi (formerly Multilaser) launched an app using VTEX technology and quickly saw a 25% increase in average order value . Want to know more about this project? Yes? Then keep reading!
GET TO KNOW MULTI
Multi came into history in 1987, therefore, before the opening of the commercial internet in the mid-1990s. It was founded in São Paulo by Polish businessman Israel Ostrowiecki and passed on to his son, Alexandre Ostrowiecki, in 2003.
Since the beginning of its operations, this company operates in the fields of manufacturing, importing and trading computer products, electronics and multimedia accessories, for example. It has a catalog with more than 6 items within these segments. It has 20 own brands and 9 licensed brands.
The company currently has over 29 retail clients in Brazil. In addition, it has approximately 2 million active mobile users . On the web, Multi has long used the VTEX platform for its online store , where it has been very successful. So much so that its directors wanted to achieve this success with its own app. That's how the app project was born.
THE MULTI PROJECT WITH VTEX TECHNOLOGY
Multi's new project with VTEX technologies involved creating a new sales channel, ie an application. But not just that. The idea was to replicate Multi's virtual store structure, which already operated successfully from the VTEX platform, in the app. How did this happen? Well, that's what I present to you next.

SOLUTIONS
Taking advantage of the fact that VTEX is a headless platform and, therefore, can receive an infinite number of integrations, Multi integrated the Kobe Apps e-commerce application creation platform with it. Kobe Apps, in turn, allows the creation of apps with more than 150 functionalities, such as analytics , banners , push notifications , tags for offers and product combos, discount and installment options, and a favorites list, among others.
Furthermore, the integration with the VTEX platform allowed Multi to replicate some native VTEX functionalities in the app, such as live commerce and scheduled delivery . It was also possible to replicate the native VTEX marketplace in the app , thus expanding product availability and consequently unlocking more sales opportunities.
PROJECT RESULTS
Impressive is all I can say about the results of the Multi project with VTEX and Kobe technologies. To begin with, it took just 45 days for the app to go live. Right after that, Multi got:
- 500% (5x) increase in conversion rate compared to the online store screen responsive;
- 200% increase in the number of users screen active. That number of users went from 2 million to 6 million in the blink of an eye;
- 25% increase in ticket medium;
- 4,8 average evaluation score in the bedspread.
Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that, through the Kobe platform's A/B testing tool, Multi conducted a conversion test. Over 30 days, the company monitored 385 users presented with a product card version that included a CTA button and another without this feature. The company found that the version with the CTA achieved a 16% higher conversion rate compared to the version without. In short, besides the excellent VTEX and Kobe integration, it also allows for continuous improvement over time. Therefore, it's worth implementing!
