INTERVIEW WITH OBAMA
During the opening event, Geraldo Thomaz interviewed former US President Barack Obama.
When asked about the fact that Brazil is trying to create technology, however it does not have a tradition in this sector, the president said that in today's world this does not depend on location. “Big ideas don't depend on geography,” he argued.
“This is one of the powerful things about technology. Today they travel at the speed of light across the globe,” Obama said, “Alibaba, for example, is succeeding in doing that. 30 years ago there was also no tradition when Jack Ma started this business there in China”, he added.
