Talkdesk launches a marketplace that connects professionals with companies that need to strengthen their call centers. Talkdesk CXTalent , as it is being called, aims primarily to meet the new demands for customer service generated by the Covid-19 crisis.

For those who still don't know, Talkdesk is an originally Portuguese cloud-based contact center company. It is currently headquartered in San Francisco, USA, and has a presence in around 70 other countries.

Considered a unicorn (startup worth more than 1 million dollars), Talkdesk has more than 2 thousand customers and approximately 1 thousand employees. The company has been hiring an average of 20 to 50 people per month.

The startup's marketplace promises to mediate the hiring of agents, supervisors and administrators of omnichannel service systems, train them, certify them and qualify them for the remote (distance) execution of the work.

Check out in this article how this marketplace will work. Find out how Talkdesk will make a profit from this platform and much more.

Talkdesk CXTalent has two interfaces. One of them is aimed at registering companies interested in hiring freelancers to perform customer service and the other for professionals who intend to be hired.

In this way, both companies and professionals start to maintain a profile page within the marketplace. The former can offer job vacancies and the latter can apply for them.

Once integrated into the platform, professionals can be directed to free training at the Talkdesk Academy , where they will receive their certifications. This way, companies can hire more qualified individuals.

The system uses artificial intelligence to match the candidates that may be most interesting for each company. Both registration and certifications can be performed free of charge.

By now you might be wondering what Talkdesk gets out of this. Well, she charges a commission every time an employment contract is signed between a company and a freelancer. That simple.

As stated earlier, the Talkdesk marketplace aims to meet demands for customer service that emerged after the Covid-19 crisis. It's just that locked at home due to periods of quarantine, many people started working from home offices. In this scenario, the marketplace comes in handy, as it qualifies people and integrates them with remote work.

However, what will happen after the pandemic is over? Will people return to their jobs in physical offices or will they remain working remotely? According to the Talkdesk director quoted on the Observer website, remote work will become increasingly common in the future. For him, the pandemic only accelerated what was already a natural evolution.
