Not every company can conquer the world selling mugs and bottles. Stanley, which has been in business for over 100 years, maintains a stable presence in several countries precisely through this type of business. And in Brazil, thanks to the Wake Commerce platform, it only needed 8 years to consolidate its position. Check out this success story below!
STANLEY STORY
Founded in 1913 by American physicist, engineer, inventor and businessman William Stanley Jr, Stanley is currently one of the largest, if not the largest, company manufacturing and trading durable thermos bottles and cups on the planet.
The company's first bottle, created by Stanley himself in 1913, was made of steel and, even back then, had vacuum-insulated walls. Today, the company also produces and sells cups, mugs, gourds, jugs, pots, and other highly durable thermal products for bars, camping , hydration, coffee and tea, as well as accessories.
From modest beginnings in the United States, Stanley prospered and expanded internationally in the following decades. It is currently owned by the global logistics organization PCI Worldwide and operates mainly in America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
The company has offices in the cities of Seattle, Shanghai, Amsterdam and Manila. In 2015, its directors decided it was time to also open an office in Brazil. With the office, in Rio de Janeiro, came the idea of setting up a virtual store, a project carried out in partnership with Wake Commerce. Find out more in the next topic!
