The consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) launched in the first half of 2017 a survey on purchases in virtual and physical retail, which revealed some habits of Brazilians, see below (with information from Digitalks).

The study took into account the opinion of 24 people living in 29 countries, including Brazil, which participated with 1 people interviewed. The research exposed the 4 types of products that Brazilians prefer to buy in virtual stores (instead of buying in physical stores), they are:

1. The books

2. The songs

3. Video games

4. Electronics

In addition, according to the study:

• 63% of Brazilians stated that, to save money, they have researched prices at multiple retailers before going shopping;

• 53% of Brazilians said they research online on mobile devices before making purchases (the global average is 44%);

• 45% of Brazilians reported that they compare prices via mobile devices before buying (the global average is 38%).

As you can see, in addition to exposing the preferred products, this research shows the importance of working with competitive prices in order to conquer the market in e-commerce.

Therefore, tools like those that provide dynamic pricing are essential for adjusting prices more quickly and reliably in your online store, thus maintaining competitiveness. Read the article " What is dynamic pricing used for in e-commerce? " to learn more about this topic.
