Black Week is as the week in which Black Friday takes place is popularly called. This is an opportunity that many stores like yours take advantage of to create special promotions and thus make more sales.

The term Black Friday , in turn, means "Black Friday." Since the late 19th century, it has been associated with crises in the American stock market. Its connotation changed, however, in the 1970s, when it began to name an official day for discounted shopping.

Since then, the event's success has only grown. Today, it's considered one of the biggest online and offline retail events worldwide, especially in Brazil. However, while Black Friday is an official event organized by the Busca Descontos portal , Black Week doesn't have a "godfather."

In other words, Black Week is an informal event that rides on the strength of the Black Friday brand. Retailers take advantage of the days leading up to the big event to anticipate offers and sell to those consumers who can't wait.

PREPARING YOUR VIRTUAL STORE FOR BLACK WEEK

Think of Black Week as a “warm up” for Black Friday. It works more or less like a race in which the athlete warms up before the race so he can run with more ease and agility.

But to participate in this “warm up” it is important to prepare your virtual store. And when I say “prepare” I mean that you should invest in good offers, but mainly in advertising for your product pages.

The idea is to start offering discounts on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday before Black Friday, calling them “Black Week”. To do so, you must negotiate purchases with suppliers well in advance. Buy in high quantity at low prices and resell at higher prices.

In addition, it is also necessary:

  • Increase your Marketing budget for the period;
  • rely on best e-commerce platform possible;
  • Increase scalability your business as a whole;
  • Keep an eye on competitors;
  • Organize your stock with offers for Black Week and Black Friday;
  • Create good promotions;
  • Create a shipping policy.

Furthermore, try to use multiple sales and customer service channels . Surround consumers from all sides so they can see and think about your e-commerce brand all the time.
