Mobile Commerce Has More Advertising, According to SEMrush

Hello, hello, my friends, I'm back here on the E-Plus Digital Marketing agency blog ! First of all, I want to wish you all a very successful 2018 in e-commerce, with lots of sales and high revenue! May everyone have a year of overcoming challenges! Speaking of which, did you know that mobile commerce has surpassed desktop commerce in advertising spending?

A survey of more than 8 online stores from around the world between January 1 and November 31, 2017 by the online marketing intelligence and monitoring company SEMrush showed that:

• 85,39% of the advertising resources of the mentioned companies were allocated to campaigns aimed at mobile devices;

• 14,81% of advertising resources were allocated to campaigns aimed at desktops.

The SEMrush study also exposed the range of corporate spending, like this:

• 50% of virtual store directors spent around US$1 on paid advertising;

• 35% of directors spent between US$10 and US$50;

• 15% of directors spent approximately US$1 and US$5.

What's more, according to the survey, consumers have been accessing e-commerce sites as follows:

• 42,18% do so via direct traffic;

• 40,1% find virtual stores through search tools;

• 2,92% access via social networks.

About a year ago I published the news article " Mobile commerce traffic surpasses desktop commerce for the first time " here, and six months later the article " Mobile commerce transactions will exceed US$ 6 trillion by 2021 ". Access and read these articles and understand why it's important to invest in mobile commerce.
