Follow below some information about Garmin’s e-commerce!

GARMIN E-COMMERCE

For those unfamiliar with the history, Garmin was founded in 1989 by Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao with the proposal to develop navigation and communication products for land, sea and air, and since then it has only grown. Observe its evolution in the number of employees at the head office and in offices around the world:

  • 1989: 6 employees;
  • 1999: 1.000 employees;
  • 2006: 4.000 employees;
  • 2007: 7.000 employees;
  • 2015: 9.000 employees.

Garmin's online store in Brazil had been in the planning stages since 2012. Once launched, the company expects to generate at least R$1 million in revenue in 2015, according to the website Meio & Mensagem.

AdWords indicates that the keyword "garmin" alone has over 40 monthly searches on Google Brazil. This doesn't even include other more specific terms like "gps garmin" (18.100), "garmin Brazil" (1.600), and "garmin edge 500" (1.000). If effectively used in a sponsored links campaign for e-commerce , these keywords can help the company exceed its revenue target for this year.
