Sister Dulce is the codename of the Catholic nun Maria Rita de Sousa Brito Lopes Pontes (1914-1992), born in Salvador, Bahia, where she helped found the Santo Antônio Hospital, which today serves more than 5 people a day.
Recognized worldwide for her charitable works, Sister Dulce was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI on May 22, 2011 with the title “Blessed Dulce of the Poor”.
The nun also founded, more than 50 years ago, Osid , which, in turn, has just launched the Online Store of Sister Dulce's Social Works , where items will be sold (the profits of which will serve to maintain the philanthropic institution) such as:
• Images
• Books
• Meshes
• Accessories
• Documents
• Medals
• Stationery items
• Souvenirs
• Flavoring
• Content
However, this religious initiative in electronic commerce is not new. Other institutions have been doing this for some time, as you can see in the following examples:
• Muslim woman
• Ark of the Covenant
• Paulines
• rips off
• Arca Center
• World
Like any other type of e-commerce , religious online stores have one or two products that are considered "flagship" (best-selling), however, it is advisable to take advantage of the potential of the internet, whose showcase is unlimited, and work with an ever-growing list of products, within a concept we call Long Tail for e-commerce.
If you – like Osid – intend to open a religious online store soon and would like to know more about its planning , implementation and management , call (11) 2373-5471 and speak with one of our Digital Marketing agency consultants during business hours.
