Wherever I go, there is no one who doesn't want to know how to sell more on e-commerce. One of the ways to do this is by using the persuasive argument called “social proof”. This type of argument undoubtedly makes it possible to convince consumers not only to buy, but to buy more.
A social proof is made up of numbers that prove that a certain product is really good. In fact, it consists of numbers that influence consumers to make a purchase decision.
Social proof works because we humans are more influenced by trends. In other words, the more people (ordinary or authorities) use a product, the more they want to buy it and use it too.
How to sell more in e-commerce: numbers influence people
Search the internet for “Michael Jackson record list”, “Madonna record list” and/or some other famous artist's record list. When people see all those numbers, they can get an idea of how good and popular the artist is.
You must do the same thing in your virtual store, that is, insert – in the descriptive texts – the best numbers, the evidence, the indications that attest that the product you are selling is good.

Your product may be really good, but if you plug in those numbers, have no doubt, it will look great or excellent to the consumer.
How to sell more on e-commerce with social proof
Social proof should be placed in appropriate locations on your e-commerce site, such as on the product page or in a blog post about a specific product in your store. Include the numbers classily and elegantly, sometimes in one section of the text, sometimes in another, without ever overdoing it, understand?
There are many types of social proof you can use in e-commerce . Try, for example, mentioning:
• The quantity of the product already sold . Example: "More than 10 people have already purchased the new shorts from the spring/summer collection";
• The number of celebrities who have already consumed the product . Ex.: "More than 500 of Globo's 800 actors have already read the book 'The Actor's Preparation'";
• The number of testimonials . Ex.: "This revolutionary 4k television has reached 15 positive testimonials on our fan page";
• The number of shares . Ex.: "This product is so good that its page has already been shared more than 2 times in the last 2 hours";
• The number of likes . Ex.: "The product gets 5 new likes daily on social media";
• The number of visits . Ex.: “This is one of the most popular products in our online store. It receives 20 visits per day”;
• The number of certifications . Ex.: "The product has received certifications from the 3 largest evaluation institutions in the sector";
• The number of stars . Ex.: implement a rating system for products, such as those using 1 to 5 stars.
Use your creativity. Find and use statistics that can be used as social proof for your products.
