The Casas Bahia chain, operated by the Via Varejo SA group, recently launched an omnichannel store in the city of Ouro Fino, Minas Gerais.
The company has more than 750 physical stores throughout Brazil.
This, however, integrates with the company's e-commerce platform.
In other words, it's an omnichannel store that connects to the network's online store.
It is located in the center of Ouro Fino, precisely at number 440 of Rua Treze de Maio.

BRIEF HISTORY OF CASAS BAHIA

Founded in 1952 by Samuel Klein (1923-2014), the chain of stores Casas Bahia is one of the most traditional in the country.
Under the motto “Total dedication to you”, the company has been expanding nationally, selling mainly furniture and appliances for over 65 years.
In 2009, the network's virtual store was inaugurated.
Thus, the company began to sell products online on a large scale.
Finally, in 2010, the Pão de Açúcar Group purchased Casas Bahia.
The group resulting from this merger came to be called Via Varejo.
Via Varejo controls the online and offline operations of Casas Bahia and Ponto Frio, in addition to managing the e-commerce of the Barateiro and Extra websites.

STORE FORMATS VIA RETAIL
Currently, the Via Varejo group has at least six different large formats for selling products, they are:
1 - lab digital store:
It is a large Ponto Frio store located at Shopping Vila Olímpia, in the capital of São Paulo.
It has modern resources such as a digital showcase, virtual reality, digital totems, a digital shelf for small appliances, in addition to cameras that measure consumer satisfaction.
The experiences that work in this “laboratory” can be replicated in other stores.
2 - Smarts:
They are physical stores with 350 to 800m².
Despite being physical, a smart model store integrates with online media.
In this way, the company aims to offer a better customer service experience.
3 - Compact:
These are physical stores with 50 to 150m² aimed at cities with up to 70 thousand inhabitants.
The best-selling products from the lines of small appliances, TVs and smartphones, among others, are exposed.
This type of store integrates with the Casas Bahia virtual store and, therefore, allows consumers to buy online even if they are in a physical store.
This is the format used in the newly opened store in Ouro Fino, Minas Gerais.
4 - Kiosks:
They are physical stores with only 9 to 25m².
The purpose of this type of store is to serve as small islands of interaction for consumers who circulate through other stores of other brands.
In addition, the kiosks aim to provide greater agility in purchasing to passers-by.
5 - Virtual:
Via Varejo has the virtual stores of Casas Bahia, Ponto Frio, Extra and Barateiro.

These stores integrate with physical sales channels in several ways.
In addition, they integrate with the sellers that make up the company's marketplace.
6 - Marketplace:
The Via Varejo marketplace brings together thousands of sellers who sell products directly on the websites of Casas Bahia, Ponto Frio, and Extra.
If you already have a virtual store and want to include it in this marketplace, such integration can be done via the Via Varejo API.
