The winds pushing the e-commerce sailboat across the ocean of opportunities are becoming increasingly continuous. Even C&A , which stayed away from e-commerce for 12 years, decided to invest in a new online store . Here are some reasons why you should have your own too:

• High revenue: despite the economic contraction experienced in Brazil, E-bit predicts 20% growth in Brazilian e-commerce in 2015 , which will generate revenue of approximately R$ 43 billion;

• Customer monitoring: current technology makes it possible to view access, purchases, card usage, invoice issuance, types of products viewed by customers, etc., data that can be used to create smarter sales strategies and thus grab a larger share of the billion-dollar windfall mentioned in the previous topic;

• Zero geographical barriers: with an online store you can sell products to people anywhere in the world;

• Ubiquity: be present on PCs, laptops, netbooks, tablets, smartphones, on the street corner, in bars, restaurants, internet cafes, hair salons, and everywhere at the same time. A physical store cannot have this omnipresence;

• Timelessness: an online store remains open 24 hours a day, every day of the month, for 12 months of the year, throughout your life, into the night, even while you are sleeping;

Long Tail: You can work with different niche products that sell in low quantities and profit from them, since space, which is limited in physical stores, is not a problem for online stores ;

• Practicality of advertising: on social media or search engines, you advertise your products directly to those who are looking for them, thus reducing your costs and optimizing your results;

• Zero inventory: work even without having inventory (using your suppliers' inventory, in dropshipping style, or with on-demand commerce ) and thus reduce your costs with machine maintenance, workers, and warehouse rental;

• Increased security: online stores are not exposed to robberies and homicides;

• Lower cost structure: the facilities, the number of employees, and the overall expenses are lower than those of a physical store.

There is also a bonus reason for you to go to an e-commerce agency and request the opening of your online store . It's the fact that, according to the UN, almost 50% of the world's population – approximately 3 billion people – is already online, a market that a modern entrepreneur wouldn't reach with a single physical store, even if they were a bicentennial man living 200 years.
